Antero Alli calls such a state Chapel Perilous or Darkmoor, a psychological state likened to quite a sinister ghostly state of limbo, a place of delusion, obsession and repetative thoughts. What I find interesting about it is that recognising that you are in such a state can be the first step to getting out of it. 'Chapel Perilous can be thought of as a non-local strata (beyond time/space) where lost, damaged and/or abandoned souls remain in suspension until retrieved and reintegrated as a living presence through our bodies here on Earth.'
